Ingredients (red, cherry)
- 3 dl white sugar
- 1 dl glucose syrup
- 1,5 dl water
- Flavoring, cherry
- Red gel food coloring
- White food coloring
Topping/Decoration
- Red candies
Instructions
For each batch, mix the sugar, glucose syrup, water, food coloring, and flavoring together in a small pot. Put it on the stove and let it cook for 30-40 minutes on medium heat. Test the sugar mixture by dropping a small amount in a bowl of cold water. If the sugar sets and becomes hard like candy, then it’s ready. If the sugar is still a bit stretchy, then it’s not ready. Meanwhile, while the sugar is cooking on the stove, clean the grapes and dry them off. Poke a toothpick into each grape to prepare them for dipping later on. Prepare a sheet lined with parchment paper. When the sugar is ready, be quick and dip the grapes one by one. Let the grapes set on a sheet lined with parchment paper. When they have set, decorate with the candies and enjoy.
