Redvelvet Cake

Recipe: 

Ingredients 

- 3 dl milk (+ 1 tsp vinegar) 

- 150 g soft butter 

- 4 small eggs 

- 6 dl white sugar 

- 3 tbs cacao powder 

- 0,5 tsp salt 

- 3 tsp vanilla powder 

- 7,5 dl flour 

- 1,5 tsp vinegar 

- 1,5 tsp baking soda 

- 2 tsp red food coloring 

Frosting 

- 250 g cream cheese 

- 150 g soft butter 

- 5 dl powdered sugar 

- 2 tsp vanilla powder 

 

Instructions
Start by preheating the oven to 175 degrees celcius. Mix the milk and vinegar together in a bowl and set aside. In a separate bowl, blend the butter and sugar together, then add one egg at a time and mix well. Add the cocoa and vanilla and mix. Now add the milk-vinegar liquid we made earlier. Add the flour and salt, mix. Lastly, mix the baking soda and vinegar and add it to the batter. Prepare a buttered baking form lined with parchment paper and pour the batter into the form (25x30cm). Bake the cake for 50-60 minutes or until it's cooked through. Once it's baked, let it cool. Meanwhile, start making the frosting. Mix all the ingredients together with an electric mixer. Set it in the fridge for 30 minutes to set. Once the cake has cooled, cut the cake into squares and pipe the frosting onto the cake as shown in the video. Crumble some more cake on top and enjoy!
